The hourglass shape is a popular one you’ve likely seen on television, billboard ads, and celebrities on the red carpet.
Well-known beauty icons such as Beyoncé, The Kardashians, Marilyn Monroe, and Jennifer Lopez might come to mind when you think about this hourglass-shaped body, which typically involves chiseled shoulders, shapely curves, and a sculpted waist.

The truth is, it doesn’t mean having an hourglass shape makes you healthier or more attractive. Those we see in ads and influencers flaunting their body don’t have those perfect measurements. There’s a chance that they may already have gone through surgeries or did a photo editor to create that illusion of an hourglass figure.

If you want to lose a few inches around your waist or tone your body, there are many healthy ways to do it. But still, it’s essential to have more realistic expectations. Find a motivation to get stronger, healthier, fitter, rather than striving just to get the idea of having an hourglass figure. I’ll give some tips on what properly works and what doesn’t on trimming your waistline.

Instead of aiming for an hourglass body shape, aim for the best optimum of your overall health. Your body looks good already, and everyone can influence and empower each other’s differences. Good dietary habits, healthy lifestyle choices will surely improve your fitness routine.

Most people can do this workout everyday with no problems but check with your doctor if you have any questions, concerns, or special circumstances.

Always warm up for 2-3 minutes before doing ANY workout. Here’s a good multi-purpose warm up that most people can easily do.
20 sec jumping jacks
20 sec squats
20 sec lunges
do twice

Be sure to consider the rest of your workout commitments as you decide which workouts to do. 20 – 30 min total per day is a good amount!
